Beck Industries, part of the global Cooper Turner Beck organisation, manufacture and distribute high integrity bolting for the nuclear, oil and gas, petrochemical, wind, and other energy industries. How we got here…
In 1918, at the end of The Great War, the city of Armentières France, was 90% destroyed. Georges and Hélène Beck (née Crespel) were bakers by trade but rather than rebuild their bakery they decided to pursue a completely different venture. Hélène’s initiative was to embark on bolt manufacturing after recognising the need for fasteners as the country went through its programme of rebuilding. Industries such as textiles, breweries, coal mines, etc were all demanding nuts and bolts and over 100 years later the demand is just as strong. The business was passed down through the family up until the merger with the Cooper & Turner Group in 2019 to form a formidable world leader in safety critical, high integrity bolting for the various energy industries throughout the world whilst remaining faithful to the heritage and industrial spirit of the original company.
